Usually professionals who own magazines and websites don't go posting stuff like that unless they have a credible source - so as not to make themselves look foolish (a la J. Lee)... I don't think McNair is known for shite-stirring, although I admittedly don't know much about him other than the fact that he runs a fairly large website and pretty successful magazine.

I see your point, but after all the rumor mongering that has been going around...it's hard to buy anything until I see some concrete proof.

This is a man who used to work for the University as part of their SID. This is why the rest of the country thinks most of the bammers are rednecks.

oh gmafb. Every school has websites littered with these fanboys posing as journalists...see Phillip Marshall, Andrew Bone, Jeffrey Lee, etc.

Something funny? I'd be shitting my pants right now if Phillip Marshall or Bryan Matthews just posted something like that about Alabama. Just sayin.

Everyone knew that Al Capone was guilty of murder and robbery and extortion and prostitution and dozens of other crimes. But the Capone gang was as adept at hiding the guilt as it was in its perpetration. Finally, though, the Feds got Capone in an area where he hadn't covered up: tax evasion. He died in prison of syphilis. The comparison is a college football program that everyone knows has been dirty for decades and which recently bought and paid for a star player. The only ones who don't believe it are part of "the family," the ironic name also used by crime syndicates. It has looked for months as though the family was going to get away with it again, because it has perfected the art of covering up its cheating and stonewalling any cooperation into investigation. Now rumor has it that while the buying players crime may have been covered up, NCAA investigators have found something else -- the so-called "tax evasion." And with it they have found the cover-up. Stay tuned.

For what it's worth, according to the people that frequent his website and message board, this is the very first time he's commented on Auburn's NCAA issues.

Again, I go back to having a hard time believing someone with as much credibility on the line as Kirk McNair would post something without being pretty dang confident in his sources. Maybe that's just the bammer in me.

No it's not. Unless he published it in an article... It is copied and pasted straight from a message board.

lol, um what credibility is he going to lose? If anything, he probably just sold ~100 new subscriptions and if he is wrong then no one will give a shite in 6 months, similar to jeff lee's stupid arse comments.
