Kareem Jackson talking about Terrance Cody:

I'm just glad that those guys (especially Cody) will hopefully have time to recover before their game next Saturday. Hopepully noone else comes down with that crap.

Is this H1N1 any different than a normal flu virus? Am I mistaken in thinking that it's no more dangerous?

No you're not. It's a bigger deal cuz it's more contagious.

Gotcha. I just haven't been able to figure out why this strain is getting so much media play, when the common flu virus kills thousands every year.

Its a mild flu strand though. It could turn into something worse in the future, but as of now its not as bad as most "normal" flus.

No. Cody is the only scholarshipped player to show "flu-like" symptoms. The other nine are walk-ons that brought it when the rest of the squad reported on August 19. Hopefully it stays contained.

What excuse are you referring to? When did I make an excuse?

Can we send Cody to go roll around in the AU weight room?

Flu might not be enough. A full blown AIDS epidemic may do.

I believe it's getting more attention just because with the common flu there are vaccines for it, the swine flu there is not. The CDC is currently developing the vaccine but I don't believe it will be until October till its released and even then it will be on a priority basis.

It's not the deadliness of the swine flu that has people worried, it's the disruption it might cause. With it spreading so rapidly, it could be only a matter of time till it interferes with event such as sports and ultimately the economy
