Actually I agree with the original poster.

I think when all is said and done, despite the hype, Michigan will be revealed as a poser.

Best 4 imo would be...

Washington
Texas
Bama
Georgia

Losing late never looks good in the eyes of the committee. If you’re gonna lose it has to be at the beginning. Why? Cuz they’re fricking stupid rich snobs who only care about money. They care less about the players. Florida st. Despite never losing lost their number one quarterback. They look at games and matches in terms of which qb can beat which qb. And how they can sell and try and make people excited about this scenario. There’s not enough brain cells to figure out a way to sell the scenario of how anyone could beat Florida st even without a starting quarterback. Idk. It all seems like a joke to me. Bamas probably gonna win the whole thing anyway.

What gets me is the fact they feel Florida State would not be competitive against the 4 teams that are in but somehow would be against Georgia being ranked higher....BS

That is nearer to reality than most recognize....

We got beat on LOS all game and deviated away from what was working offensively; that, penalties, turnovers, and missed FG were the difference. No excuses about injuries, questionable calls, etc.

This. Georgia is without a doubt one of the 2-3 best teams in the country. Georgia lost the one game that mattered. The playoffs and the natty are nothing more than a beauty contest, the same as it has always been. UGA was not deep enough nor talented enough to win the one game that mattered when it was played. It happens. It makes no difference that the PAC 12 is such a joke it no longer exists and the Big 10 and Big 12 are almost as bad...CFB is a beauty pageant and UGA was not pretty enough to get in despite obviously being one of the 4 best teams in the nation.

This post right here proves Bama's paid shills are working overtime right now.

THAT is how pathetic their need to convince us there isn't any bullshite going on in this.

Georgia’s weak schedule is the reason they are not in.

UGA never should have backed out of its game with Oklahoma.

Beating the team that beat Texas that beat Alabama that beat UGA would have made heads explode even more on the committee and given UGA a leg to stand on.

I agree but Bama was scared for a rematch so
they made the committee keep them out.

- Won last 2 national championships

- Won an SEC record 29 straight games, almost 2.5 years

- No. 1 in the country 24 straight weeks heading into Saturday

- Hadn't lost a game in 727 days

- Last lost a game in 2021

- Has dominated college football and the SEC, the toughest conference in CFB, for TWO YEARS!

- Lost first game Saturday in more than 2 years by just 3 points and its two best offensive players were playing injured

Now...if you take out everything that doesn't have anything to do with 2023...what does it look like?

- Won 8 straight SEC Games before losing in conference championship game.

- No. 1 in the country for the first 14 weeks of the season.

- Did not lose a regular season game in 2023

- Dominated SEC East for entire year.

This is about 2023...whatever they did in 2021 and 2022 should not impact 2023.

I agree Georgia should be in; thank goodness this is the last year we'll have this system to choose the teams.

It looks the same in a smaller timeframe.

7 teams have valid arguments for 4 spots.

It’s a shame that we didn’t get a 12 team playoff this season.

This would be incorrect. You don't get in with two losses. Never have done that for anyone. In the CFP era, you have gotten in anytime you have had a year as good or almost as good as UGA had this year. Georgia is the first one loss SEC team not to make the playoff in a regular 12 game season.

Yep. 2 time national Champs, and #1 the entire season can't fall past #4.

All that stuff is completely irrelevant in 2023. I told Georgia fans that. They didn't believe me. Its as relevant as Georgia losing more conference championship games than anyone in history. Georgia is 4-7 in SEC Championship games.

In 10 years nobody but delusional Georgia fans will care about or remember 29 in a row. It will be reduced to a trivia question. Time stands still for nobody. Georgia learned that on Saturday when Kirby lost and has a 1-5 record vs Saban and Alabama.

Well, I can tell you, if we win it all again and we probably will at some point. No one is gonna care about 1-5 either. Just like no one cared about 1-4 last year at this time.

They have one 3 point loss on their resume to a playoff team.

Now lets stack that fact on top of contextual background and Georgia should have been in.
