It looks as though the Tarheel football program is in for a world of hurt. Should we toss them a life saver by inviting them to join the SEC?

UNC will NEVER join the SEC due to their basketball history and tradition in the ACC, nor will DUKE.

The SEC should have tossed SMU an invite back in 1985. What can go wrong?

Butch Davis sure knows how to build a team. I'm sure those Miami teams from the early 2000's were completely legit.

They weren't legit, but nothing we can do about it now.

If Butch Davis ended up at UGA in a year that would be scary

UNC could end up being the Yahoo "10", although, that would be sort of anticlimactic.

I wouldn't mind him at UGA because that would mean they would eventually get sanctions.

Has Butch been directly implicated in any wrongdoing or is he being used as a scapegoat here? I don't know all of the facts of the case, just that one of his assistants was basically working as a runner for an agent on the side.

UNC Football Problems:

1) think they should be "Alabama" on Saturdays, and
2) "Harvard" rest of week

...of course, they are neither

i heard that the NCAA pulled the "Danny Ford" move on them.. which is to imply that their COI hearing (in Oct 2011) will go a lot smoother if they make some wholesale changes. i also think the UNC Admin and BOT didn't believe he was innocent of John Blake and the tutor infractions, which included his family babysitter.
