4. Les leaves and LSU gets a real coach.

That's probably your best option when your boys come to BR this fall. Just close your eyes and don't watch.

Auburn fans don't fear lsu but haven't beaten them in death valley since the 90s

1 has no chance of happening and 2 and 3 dont give any sense of "fear" in the least, sooooooooo..............

LSU has won three out of the last four. but keep posturing, bro.

I dont know why people wouldnt fear LSU with a Qb. Only lost two despite Jefferson playing qb.

Why do you call it posturing. I don't think about LSU throughout the year or the offseason. I think about them during game week. Nothing more to it. You have a great program for football and the games between AU and LSU are tough and hard hitting. However, whether you like it or not our biggest rivalry is Bama and than Georgia. I pay most attention to bama. Sorry to disappoint you though.

you should pay more attention to CFB

I don't understand this thread.
Why do they need to fear us? We have an open competition at QB, RB, K, KR, PR, DL, MLB, CB,.... we have a lot to prove to ourselves before we can ask people to fear us.
ATM we don't even have an OC or QB coach. We are losing one of the most underrated players in LSU history in Kelvin Sheppard.
He was the leader of not only the defense, but the team. He was the voice.
This is like an AU Fan thread asking about how everyone feels and how worried they are.
Don't go that route.

I know that R2R, but do you understand how hard it is to replace a dominate MLB like Sheppard?
people will step up in the leadership role, but Sheppard could have coached our defense. When his playing days are over he will make one hell of a coach.

As Chesty Puller (outstanding USMC commander, for those who don't know) once said, and I paraphrase
"Only a dumbass has no fear"
"Only a dumbass has no fear"

well of course i understand that. that's why i was pointing out 02-03. Bradie James was better than KS and Lionel Turner stepped in and played just fine.

HaHaHa...
We got Arkansas, Florida, and Auburn in Death Valley this year....you should be very afraid.

I would say #3 would be a marginal pick, but if Kragthrope is the replacement for Crowton it becomes
#4 None

Sheppard will be missed, no doubt, memphisplaya. How much better would the Tide's defense have been this year if Rolando McClain had stuck around for his senior year?

kragthrope is just a name being thrown around... by no means does it mean he is the guy Miles wants. Keep an eye on Tampa Bay coach Steve Logan..... that's who I want atleast
He is the genius behind Matt Ryan at BC

an elite MLB is usually the smartest player on the field(Football smarts)
They know when to call an audible, they know where to line up, they have a nose for the ball, and their mere presence is enough to open up lanes for the rest of the defense.
With Rolo, the Tide would have been in much better hands.

Out of the positions listed, QB, DT, MLB, and I guess K are the ones I'm worried about. Feel like we definately have the talent at DT, just not sure if one is ready to be dominant at that position.
I guess Faulk essentially has the LT position locked up? Can't figure anyone else in there. Should help the run game at the very least.

It would have been better but he wouldn't have made any difference in the three Alabama losses this year. They lost those games because of poor play from their secondary especially their corners. The two players Alabama missed the most from last year's defense was Javier Arenas and Kareem Jackson and it isn't even close.
