I mentioned the Siskey effect a week ago. Not sure if he was literally stealing the signals but if you are going to call plays with big arse poster board that athletes with a 15 act can decipher dont be surprised when other teams pick up on it. Last year danielson cracked a few signs Oregon was using in a game pointed out how a certain picture always meant a certain formation, etc.

Alabama has about 4-5 tough games a year so hiring a person out of 40-50 to get a better understanding of the up and coming new coach is just smart business.

People have always poached off their competitors to try to gain an edge you hear these kinds of stories in the NFL all the time signing recently cut players to the practice squad , etc.

Sink this low? What does that mean? Siskey actually helping his current employer win a game vs his previous ? That's sinking low in your book?

Should Ellis Johnson not be allowed to coach against USCe? I bet He knows Spurriers old plays and signals. Should he not be allowed to use that knowledge or Tell Gus anything from his days at USC with SOS?

Coaches change jobs all the time. Implying that it is cheating if a coach uses what he learned from the previous job to help the current job is asinine.

Didn't Muschamp coach under Saban? Uh Oh, he better not use any of the old info from those days to help his current team Beat Saban if they play each other.

Holy shite, didn't Au play ArkST? That's were Gus and most of his staff coached last year. Dammit I hope never teams coaches sunk low enough to use that knowledge to beat the other team.

I guess the NCAA could just make a rule that you can never coach in a game against any former teams you coached for.

When you do stuff in plain sight, it's fair game. Same for anyone who tries to do it to us. Hopefully we aren't stupid enough to actually use the same signs from last year, or even the game before

We have good coaches, so we don't have to worry about such things.

And why was ESPN showing it if they're in bed with us? Can we finally put one foolish argument to rest tonight?

I agree with this completely

Did it effect us last night? Absolutely.. but we play big boy football in the best, most competitive conference in the country. Use any advantage you can get

He videotaped signals of the Jets during the Patriots game with the NYJs.
