Furthermore, that team is a favorite of the national media and will be given the benefit of the doubt in any tie breaker (even when they lose games in November)

Why do some of you A&M fans have to manufacture some scenario where opposing fans are envious or jealous of a success for you? Both teams are threats to LSU in the West. A win by either makes them the bigger threat going forward, at least in respect to the SEC West race at that moment. So there is really no strategic reason to pull for one over the other than who do I dislike more at the moment? Obviously Bama.
Like another poster already said though, I don't really care that much one way or the other. It's too early in the season to extrapolate too much from that game. Given the ease of Bama's schedule this year, I have to hope they drop a game anywhere there is a chance. LSU will have to take care of business against at minimum one of you regardless to get to the SEC champ game.
