Well, UCONN can only see Houston if both make the title game...but you are right, Houston is the only team with the dogs for the fight.

Probably, but that’s why they pla….you know the rest.

Momentum at the right time is crucial...they lost to Seton Hall by 15 in December, then beat them by 30 in March...they beat Creighton by 14 in January, then lost to them by 19 in February. They've won 9 straight since that loss.

Yes, Creighton beat them at home by 19..
making 14 of 28 three point shots.. well above their 36% average
Creighton averages over 10 treys a game.

Hell no. Did you see what Creighton did to UConn?

I'm aware.. but they don't usually shoot 50%.
10/28 was the expectation
4 x 3 = 12 points
UConn also only hit 3/16 in the loss
their averages are 8.3 / 22.6
Basically it was a perfect storm for Creighton that night.. good for them, but gonna hard for anyone to replicate imo..

Expecting them to hit 14/28 (50%) again is a bit much.
UConn's only three losses this season were all on someone else's home floor. They've been dominant at home and on neutral courts.

Thanks for providing the stats to support your argument.

Gonna suck if they go back to back. People already forget we were the last to do it.

Creighton's better than they were midway, and UConn hasn't played anyone on their level on a neutral court, not even Marquette. But I see your point.

1. So is UConn
2. Even if Creighton is better now than they were earlier in the season, going 14/28 from 3 is an absurd number. It is not realistic to expect anyone to hit that level of shooting percentage on that volume of shooting on a given night. NBA teams rarely shoot like that.

Now that A&M is eliminated I'm still backing Creighton since my wife went there. That means they are screwed

making 4 threes more than their average of ten isn't unrealistic. And they won't by 19; they didn't need those extra threes.
