Oh I'm right. GUNTS saying 21-0 like it means They are better. It's ignorant.

The hit was dirty, but by rule was legal. He didn't lead with his head and Murray was a defender at that point. He deserves no suspension, and anyone who thinks he did needs to let it go.

It's actually WAS NOT legal. The head of officiating said they missed the call. It was def an illegal hit, just not on a defenseless player.

Lol.

The hit was not necessary, but it was legal. What's done is done.

What else would you take from a 21 point arse thrashing? 21 point victories aren't fluke victories in any sport.

We're also playing for our 3rd title in 4 years. Lsu hasn't hoisted the crystal since the 2 loss tigers did it in '07

I guess I should just ignore my eyes than. Yes there was contact with the helmets, but you can watch the video and clearly see he lead with his forearm.

I don't know why, beside the public outrage at the time. Would you care to share a link on the reasoning behind that statement?

A lot of people still care Ricky, including you. Just read this board for a few minutes on any given day of the week, it's everywhere. A long way to go in the healing process for these poor lsu fans.

Murry is lucky that Dial got to him first. Benny S.#3 was just before decleating him .Watch the wide angle clip of the play. #3 goes by as Dial and Murry start to the ground.

I think that depends on your definition of lucky.

Why does the myth of SEC favoritism toward Alabama persist?

I think it's bull Elston got suspended. Elston's hit was not flagged either, and it was a questionable helmet to helmet(he launched his helmet at the player's chest). To my knowledge, Elston was the first player in the SEC to be retroactively suspended for something that was not acknowledged during the actual football game.

Elston was suspended for hitting a DEFENSELESS player.

Dial did not hit a defenseless Aaron Murray.

There is the difference between the two cases.

It was a legal hit.
If the QB is gonna pass the ball to the other team, he better learn some defense or get the hell out of the way
This. Once HaHa caught the ball, Bama went on offense and Georgia became defense. Murray became a DB and was looking at and started toward HaHa with the possibility of tackling him.

Glad Dial will get to play in his last college game.

That was the word Friday as the SEC sent out a short news release stating that it had reviewed several plays from the Dec. 1 matchup between Georgia and Alabama and that it would be leaving punishments decisions to the respective schools. In addition to Dial’s hit on Murray at the end of a first-half interception, Georgia's Sheldon Dawson appears on video to be trying to gouge the eyes of Alabama CB Dee Milliner at the end of a kickoff return. Also, Bulldogs’ linebacker Alec Ogletree was flagged during the game for a “targeting” hit on Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron.

“The Southeastern Conference has completed its review of video from the 2012 SEC Football Championship Game. Several plays involving both teams were reviewed. After review, all subsequent action will be handled internally by the two institutions and the conference office is satisfied with their actions.”

Helmets, in the end, created the pussification of football.

Rugby players giggle at helmets.

Not sure what to make of this.
Watch the full youtube. HaHa was still running with the interception when Murray started jogging as if to intercept him for a tackle. Dial tackled Murray before HaHa was tackled.

Youtube - HaHa still had the ball and running with it when Murray was tackled.
