Richt and Mack Brown is fair comparison (with the caveat that Brown faces an easier schedule), but I've gotta disagree big time with Richt doing just enough to keep his job.

He was truly on the hot seat with the 0-2 start to 2011, but other than that when do you think he was close to losing his job?

He's only had one 2 year stretch without a 10 win season. If you're arguing Georgia fans aren't demanding enough, well that's a different discussion, but Richt has been on the hot seat one time and is 25-5 since that moment.

Oh, and 2-0 vs Richt in the SECCG.

Adv: Saban.

I don't think anyone is arguing the dominance of Saban in the SEC. I mean, really.....does anyone have a winning record against him (besides LA-Monroe, which is OOC)?

Brown has had two 3 year stretches, the current and the initial hire. with only 2 seasons less than 9 wins in his entire tenure

precisely what I am saying. And its not just about luck catapulting him to the next level as when you have 4 new coaches coming in and getting "lucky" 7 times during that tenure, it appears to be something else.

I understand its hard to get rid of a coach as you dont know if the next one will be able to attain the same level or pass it. complacency feels good, but sometimes you got to take that chance.

Tennessee is currently a very scary situation when we start thinking like that.
