Track and Field and Baseball will greatly adjust those stats.

It's based on weighted top 10 finishes.

If you don't finish in the top 10, you get no Capital One points.

Baseball & T&F still have a shot at moving us up to something respectable.

Not a big fan of this ranking system whatever it is.

-New Year's bowl football
-NCAA tournament men and women's basketball
-national seed baseball and softball

-top 10 men's and women's track
-top 10 men's and women's golf
-ranked women's tennis

This is all off the top of my head probably some things I'm missing.

Not arguing we should be ahead of anyone on your list just saying if there are 60+ schools with a better athletic year then damn... I would have lost my money on that bet.

How can you not be a fan of something you don't know. Its takes maybe 2 minutes to find that info out.

True. Just saying It seems odd. At work not going to dig too deep but I just don't think there are 60+ schools id want to trade athletic years with

So basically I'm not in agreement (a fan) of what cap one thinks is a successful year. I'll take a New Years bowl in football, NCAA tourney in M and W basketball, national seed in baseball/softball over whatever got a portion of the 60+ teams ranked ahead of us. We have plenty of success in sports outside the big 3 as well

Well it kind of is. I mean it counts all sports basically as opposed to only the ones that bring in revenue

Oh wait...we also won the NC in Football

Points toward the Capital One Cup are earned and tracked throughout the year based on final standings of NCAA Championships and final official coaches' polls.

Soccer (M&W), Football, Volleyball(W), Basketball (M&W), Lacrosse (M&W), Outdoor T&F (M&W), Baseball & Softball are weighted (3x) higher than the rest.

The ones listed above / ones not listed
1st = 60 / 20
2nd = 36 / 12
3rd = 30 / 10
4th = 24 / 8
5th = 18 / 6
6th = 15 / 5
7th = 12 / 4
8th = 9 / 3
9th = 6 / 2
10th = 3 / 1

SEC Men's soccer and Lacrosse teams don't exist so list makes more sense now. And still don't like it

Basically a school w the 9th ranked men's soccer team could have 0 wins in every other sport and have more points than LSU. Makes sense... Top 10 criteria cuts out a lot of successful seasons across the board.

They're questionable in our part of the states.

Most of the things you listed eithe haven't ended or were not in the top 10. You'll see a bump later on.
