I was speaking from the view of Msst fans who try to say that the depth is the reason teams score, but they arent worried about a dog fight in the 4th quarter because they have the depth to keep going.

Again, it isn't our depth. We, arguably, have the best 2 deep front 7 in the league. Our garbage time corners, who were young and are learning, gave up points. We have solid depth across the board, it's not like you need a dozen guys to rotate at corner.

State's lines on both sides are very good. Great DL depth. Solid secondary. Can run the ball. Can pass the ball. I think State wins this one and the Aggie fans remember they are just another average SEC team.

Just out of curiosity, how does a "solid secondary" have one of the worst pass defenses in college football? You do realize that A&M throws the ball as well as any team in the country, right?

State better score 40+ because A&M sure will. It's all about the State O vs the A&M D.

Oh, and A&M has outscored opponents 135-41 in the 1st Half as well it is just the later the game goes the more dominant A&M gets.

Watch the games and get your nose out of the stat sheet. We gave up deep bombs to UAB in single coverage (425 yards on 10 plays). We let LSU piece together some plays when we were playing prevent and called the dogs off too early.

You won't come away from Saturday saying we have a garbage secondary. And Kenny better be able to convert half a hundred completions, because you will not run the ball.

it very well may. I hope the IB does but we gotta survive State first. I am of the opinion if either of us played them this weekend we both lose to freaking cousin Eddie. whats the world come to?

Arky had that idea against K-Trill down the stretch, too

This is the first week where Aggie quits hugging his boyfriend long enough to suddenly realize that tragically for him, membership in the SEC means maneuvering an SEC schedule.

No problem Aggie-just State, Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn, Missouri and LSU. What could happen, right?

Arkie really screwed up, I'm hoping our coaches learned something there. You can't call off the dogs, have to play aggressively and throw Hill's rhythm.

I like the way we match up with you guys and it will be a good game, more so than A&M where our strengths don't match up so well. Bama is scary, I don't like that Cooper is on any down a threat to score.

Despite our running game having success all season, our offensive philosophy seems to be to throw the ball no matter what. So your good run defense will be wasted. Hope your pass rush is good though.

Also, I would argue you havent faced a potent passing attack yet.

Agree. In Arky's defense (no pun intended), though, Hill had been a little shaky on the deep ball to that point in the season and they even were rewarded with an INT.

Like you said, though, I doubt y'all give him those looks this weekend.

Oh, you guys will definitely test our secondary more than they have been so far. Stopping you guys on the first 3 downs and keeping our offense on the field will be the key to the game.

I hope State fans aren't this confident on defense due to shutting down Anthony Jennings.
Because that would give you false confidence. The dude just couldn't deliver the ball to open receivers.

But Kenny has the coaches and teams confidence.

State's offense > Arkansas' Offense
State's defense > Arkansas' Defense

Dak > Kenny

Cowbells > Vocal Chords

2 Weeks Rest > Tired Legs

Already looking forward to Nick Marshall and the boys.
