No longer an elite Program.
LSU has not won a Major Bowl since the 2007 Sugar Bowl almost 9 season ago. They have only went to 1 major bowl since then and lost 21-0. The only team to ever be shut out of a BCS bowl.

Ole Miss and Mississippi State have been to Major Bowls more recently. The Sugar and Orange bowl respectively.

LSU has won the west 1 time in going on 9 season.

Auburn, Bama, and Florida have all won National championships more recently.

Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Auburn have all beaten Bama more recently.

these are all facts, but the last three are debatable

quote:

LSUs only claim to relevancy is attaching it's self to Bama like they are rivals.

LSU fired their most successful coach in history and their fans are hoping a career D-line coach can take them to the next level.

LSU fans are as delusional as Ole Miss fans used to be, back before they were buying players and non competitive.

We won the SEC in 2011 though. So the not winning the SEC in going on 9 seasons part is not a fact.

Vandy fan downing someone else's far more successful football program? Sounds dicey.

He isn't a Vandy fan. Just some alter.

And while LSU may not be "elite", they are still a damn good program.

I mean who else would you consider elite in the SEC?

Lolololol try more hard breh. OP must have exhausted all of his hours and resources to research any information that fits his narrative to troll. You forgot to spit in the sink after gargling Saban's balls.

I guess still elite enough to warrant this thread.

You can't have it both ways... Either we're irrelevant or we're not.

And we both know...

Ok, count with me if you can:

1) 2008
2) 2009
3) 2010
4) 2011*
5) 2012
6) 2013
7) 2014
8) 2015
9) 2016

1 West title in 8, going on 9 seasons, just like the OP said.

relevant [rel-uh-vuh nt]
adjective
1. bearing upon or connected with the matter in hand; pertinent

questions to OP:
1. why did Gameday go to Lambeau Field?
2. why was the SEC (and national) media obsessed with the LSU-Florida drama
3. why did the national attention OBSESS on LSU's best player during ALL of August-October of 2015?
4. why is LSU at Texas A&M the ONLY game on Thanksgiving?

Do relevant teams have the above facts associated with them? Do you know the definition of relevant?

We won the SEC in 2007 and 2011.

That's 2 SEC titles in going on 9 years ya dumb shite. We won the SEC in December of 2007. So you count from 2008 to 2016. That's 9 years.

They are going to be in a world of hurt when Fournette goes. That team is going to slip into the abyss very soon.

A lot of fair points in that, but if LSU is not an elite program, please name the elite programs in college football. There's been a lot of parity in the conference and country recently, yet LSU has remained a consistent winner:

08 - 8-5
09 - 9-4
10 - 11-2
11 - 13-1
12 - 10-3
13 - 10-3
14 - 8-5
15 - 9-3
16 - 5-2

Florida, Auburn, Tennessee and Ole Miss have all had losing seasons during that stretch. Georgia is the only school that comes close to LSU's consistency, and they benefit from playing East teams. LSU consistently wins big games, recruits great players and puts studs in the NFL. Even if we aren't living up to our expectations, we're clearly the 2nd best program in the SEC

You must not know we keep a stable of stud running backs at all times. That coming from a fan of a team coached by McLTeeth and his serious lack of recruiting skills. Good luck not being the next dumpster fire program with all of his 3 star players.
