At least he wouldn't have hamstrung the schools administration and embarrassed the alumni by caving to a bunch of facist.

Maybe they should pick their fights a little better.

This is the correct answer that everyone is overlooking. From now on if they don't go on strike, then it'll appear that they don't care.

IF there was systematic racism (there isn't), then a strike is (IMO) an appropriate response. They opened Pandora's Box.

This shite would have never happened if Pat Dye was the coach.

Don't kid yourself.....if Dye didn't do what Pinkel did, then Dye would be unemployed & Auburn would be a D111 school.

In this particular day and age, the less he says or does to deflect from their "intent", the better off he looks and will be. It's a shame people can't speak their mind or heart without fear of retribution physically, mentally, legally, or professionally, but this is the America we have allowed to come to exist.

He probably did the right thing with the way the country has been pussified.

I would have been fired as the coach, because I'd have kicked every one of them off the team and pulled their scholarship. Mizzou would have finished the season with midget walk ons if that's what resulted. No way in hell I would cow down to these protests. I don't know the extent of their grievances, but racial abusiveness is not allowed or tolerated in this day and age. If anything, the country has gone out of it's way to reverse that and not be offensive to minorities.

The SJW's have been allowed to run wild and dictate behavior now, and it's a shame that it's come to this.

I don't blame the school president one bit for jumping off that sinking ship.

Speaking of, how would Pat Dye have handled this situation?

Dye would have said "someone calls you the N word you handle their arse right there on the spot and I will handle the law, the president or anyone else who has a problem with it and that will be that."

And yet Pinkel didnt have a backbone to change the pussification.

Great coaches do have backbone. Bear Bryant resigned from Maryland after the President reinstated a player he had suspended due to team rules. He could have taken the easy route, but he was more concerned about integrity than just having a job.

I am going to enjoy watching BYU beat them by 4 touchdowns.

So will I. I am now rooting against my alma mater. I wish them nothing but ill.

Naturally, the Mizzou Alumni Association will never see another dime from me.

This, people want to act like the whole football team was united over this.

That makes the coach's actions even more spineless.

I'll be curious to see how many of these players are back next year. I would bet that a good # of them will be shown the door in the offseason.
