I think the lights out, stay home approach was to hide the looks on the players's faces if it was announced they would be playing Oklahoma again.

Oh but we will be playing OU again...for all the marbles, and they will get our full attention this time.....where was your team during the announcement?

Makes sense. We keep making it, no reason to celebrate doing the exact same thing you did last year.

We won the SEC - that gets a celebration.

We win the playoffs? Then we'll celebrate.

Its the same look Miles had on his face, when he sees the 1st Saturday in November on the schedule, for the past 4 years.

It was funny to see two completely opposite reactions.

Clemson has a pizza party at the stadium for 20,000 people as if they had already won the trophy.

Michigan State watches collectively as a team, and we get shots of all of them with an "oh frick" look on their face.

One team thinks they have already won the championship, the other thinks they are already out.

Meh. I think it is just playing into the mystique that the media gives Alabama as a whole. Similar to Lebron James and his fake BS.

got no issue with klempsum celebrating like they did. geez they've not had anything major since danny ford.

this is the classic, to each their own, situation.

Yeah they beat the team that beat the shite out of Bama last year to win their conference. I'm sure they are scared. The winner of the SEC doesn't scare anyone anymore. MSU had a tougher schedule and better resume by far than Bama. I promise you they are not scared. They know they can stop the run. If you stop Bama run game then you beat Bama. Look at what happened vs Ole Miss. They were up 30-3 before Bama got a chance to pray to Saban pre game.

You obviously didn't see the looks on their faces. Barely a smile in the room.

I like this approach as well. I wish some of my fellow bama fans would act like we've been there before. Some of the trolling and endless shite talking that is projected at a few of our opponents, you'd think we beat em for the first time this year.
