Bama has won their championships by the rules and regulations that were set up at the time. All are legit (Rose Bowl wins before AP; AP; Coaches; BCS; & CFP) except for the 1941 claims which I don't like to count.
Bama can't help it if mid-tier teams like Arkansas, LSU, Georgia, Auburn, etc. can only win 1, 2, or none.

When Bama won the 1964 AP championship, Arkansas & other rivals pitched a hissy fit so that the AP changed the rules.
So the next year 1965, #2 Arkansas was undefeated in the regular season, #4 Bama wasn't. Bama beat Neb. in the Orange bowl and won the Natty. The #1, #2, & #3 teams were beaten in their bowl games; #4 Bama won theirs & became the champs.
If the rule about picking the champions before the bowl games had not been changed, Alabama would not have won the Natty.

Alabama beat Nebraska in its bowl game and jumped from 4 to 1. Undefeated Arkansas lost to LSU in their bowl game.

Lsu,auburn,Florida,Georgia,Tennessee, ole miss, Texas am and Arkansas fans would give their 16 year old daughter's virginity away for what the gumps have accomplished the past 9 years.

You're right. And #1 Mich. State got beat by #5 UCLA. 1, 2, & 3 got beat. So, #4 Bama won.
If the rules had not changed, then Michigan State would have been the champions.
