Exactly, the absence of a target will force a re-aquisition mode to kick in. Kinda like staying very still when a T-Rex is about to make a LNST out of you.

Being an LSU fan who grew up in Auburn during the early 2000s when the LSU-AU rivalry was incredibly intense has caused me to have a deep and burning hatred for Auburn. 7 consecutive years the home team won and the score was decided by a TD or less. With the exception of 1 (maybe 2) years the winner went to the SECCG. There was much trash talking when LSU won and much shite received when AU won.
I am now an AU student and trying to figure out what the frick I am supposed to do with all of this disdain for AU athletics. I know I should root for my alma mater, but I am a die hard CFB fan and I cannot simply forget old allegiances at a whim. The satisfaction of watching Auburn lose is so ingrained into me.
