re: Nick Saban is retiring...It is happening!!!

Saban can deny it all he wants but NIL and portal is the real reason he's done.
He beats LSU and the first thing he does is ask Aaron Anderson that he would be playing more at Bama tells you all you need to know.
He went from interviewing coaches to probably saying I'm losing players to the portal, current players on roster want to know about NIL and I have to recruit more players with more nil.
He couldn't just get players to come play for Coach Saban anymore and the whole process of development goes out the window.
He invests all this time on his roster not knowing if any will come back.

No doubt the misguided portal system (worst thing that's ever happened to college football imo) weighed heavily in Saban's decision. Having said that, it will be fun reliving the years like the ones following Bear Bryant's retirement and the subsequent Bear Bryant Syndrome where no one would ever measure up and Bama fans remained unhappy with the hires - until NS came along. Now they'll suffer the similar Nick Saban Syndrome. Have fun.
