It's obvious. This 10 second rule doesn't change anything. So why would Saban be doing it? Answer: Distraction.

The point I made to begin with was he isn't going to get the 10 second rule. However you can bet the officials have taken notice.

The man was working the officials before he has played a game for next year.

Gus and his ilk can jump up and down scream hurry up....and the officials won't run for him this time.

are you really stooping to the point of having a conversation with yourself for agreement?

It was just one game guy.

He never wanted it. It does nothing. It was a smokescreen. He has HUNH chumps talking about everything from injuries to cigarette smoking while he changes the officiating in college football to make it fair.

Give it up. The extra ref isn't there to slow down the game. He is put there to help officiate the faster pace games. I don't know how you came up with the dumb logic that they have to add a man to slow the game down but you sound as stupid as Saban and his smoking analogy.

So bama fans are finally admitting that bama/saban runs the league's officiating. Thanks for the good laugh. Saban actually has that much control that HE can make the refs do what he wants. As for the 8th official, I hope Saban allows him to focus on OL holding, him wanting to balance the playing field and all. And I am sure it will be a lot safer for the players, too.
