If a player doesnt have anything to hide whats wrong with being tested multiple times?

Nobody should have to hide they smoke marijuana. Harder drugs, I agree.

Recent study shows that 1 in 3 college student drinks beginning freshman year.
1 in 6 smoke weed.
Now I'm not saying that we should let those who have signed documents agreeing to abide by the rules going around breaking them without fear of discipline, but I'm also not saying we should go around piss testing everyone after they get back from Spring break, either.

Agreed. I understand PEDs, but weed? For a college student? The absolute worst, he should be required to hit the weights more.

He's not saying they shouldn't be drug tested, he's saying they shouldn't be penalized if they pop on a drug test.

He's saying they shouldn't be penalized 9 months later. I'm aiming he's referring to recreational drugs, and not performance enhancing drugs.

Unless they're a religious nut job, I'd bet most coaches not only don't care about weed, but would prefer their players to choose it over alcohol. It doesn't give you a hangover, dip players would be more productive at early practices.

Yeah it's clearly not performance-enhancing. I never quite got why they tested for recreational drugs in the first place.
