And Les was so scared of what Barron and Dre would do to pick 6 Lee, that he sabotaged his own chances of winning a national championship by not putting Lee into the game

How they do in the NFL is a very different story. We have seen this especially with the secondary players, they suck. His linebackers have been good and only 1 or 2 dlineman & they have been ok. Alot of his players tend to be scheme specific and cannot adapt to others schemes.

I have been saying this for a while now. He can get them drafted, but they go on to have average careers. Maybe they peak while they are in college, but GMs have to start seeing that other players (3rd and 4th rounders) catch up to Saban's within a year of being drafted. I love Calipari's comment about KY Players "they get players drafted in the first round and they go on to be very productive at the next level."

It's a college coach's job to develope and prepare a player so that he has the opportunity to advance to the next level. Saban does that, period.

shite like that draws the attention of talented HS players and their parents.

Saban didn't have Kareem for very long. I don't think any 'Bama fan expected Kareem to go first round. That was just a big reach by Houston more than Kareem actually being a "scrub". Then you throw in the fact that he is playing in the hardest position in the NFL and he starts for the Texans his rookie year.

Very few rookies have excelled at DB their first year. I don't think you can count his first year. I think he played a little bit better last year, though. Wade is a hell of a coach. If anyone can help Jackson. It is him.

ETA: If he is moved to DE. He would be the 3rd/4th fastest DE in this years draft. Right beside Nick Perry

Exactly. He could be lethal coming off the edge in a 4-3 or at LB in the 3-4. All depends on who drafts him.

So...... He's the greatest coach ever preparing players for the NFL, but he sucks balls as an NFL head coach. Got it.

Probably has nothing to do with recruiting a #1 class every year right? I'd love to see his NFL standing if he consistently had #30 recruiting classes or below.

But, like someone said. It is Saban's job to give players the opportunity to excel at the next level. He does that so well, that some people want to knock on him for it.

Isn't recruiting part of the head coach's job? So now he's to blame because he can evaluate players early and recruit them to Alabama?

The only thing people could POSSIBLY knock on Saban is making adjustments during games.

Everything else, he is basically the gold standard right now. If he is caught cheating or something like that. Then everything goes out the window. However, as of what the public knows.

Top QBs bama's secondary has played the last two years:

1. Cam
2. Mallett
3. Wilson
4. Garcia
5. ?

Not a lot of quality tape to watch.

Kirk Cousins is projected as the #5 QB in the NFL draft. He was annihilated in the bowl game.
