Title is mock outrage. I think it was supremely classy of TAMU to have a moment of silence in respect for Anthony Mason's passing earlier in the day. He is the father of one of our players, Antoine Mason. As if that wasn't enough class and respect...TAMU took AU's uniforms and had them embroidered with small black ribbons.
That's going above and beyond in support of another team. My hat is off to you Aggies. Total and complete class act to show compassion like that.

(With so much ire and bile often flowing on this board, I thought it appropriate to recognize something so nice.)

What?!?! Anthony Mason passed? Damn I missed that. He and Chuck were two of my favorite players. :-(

Yeah, I believe he was in the stands for our game against AU back on Jan. 17th. I remember the cameras panning over to him several times in the game. It was over a month ago, but seems like it was just yesterday....

Ags are the Anti Horns. Horns alumni are mostly a bunch of pricks. Almost to the man... and girl. Aggies are real people. Love those guys... Tell them to give us back our $400K

If we had won one or two of the last four games we probably would have just cut a check.
I wouldn't look for any money.

It should be pointed out that none of A&M posters in the SECRant had anything to do with the above actions.

Only a Buffoon would feel the need to point something like that out.

Our university cultivates and fosters these types of values above all. As the largest senior military college, we understand death more than most schools so we celebrate life more than most do.

We have something called Silver Taps once a month on campus to honor the families and memory of every aggie who passed the previous month. We have Muster once a year, which aggies worldwide participate in at hundreds of locations throughout the world, and we call roll for our lost brothers and sisters who fell the previous year.

Our main social building on campus is called the Memorial Student Center, this is in honor of every Aggie who has ever fought for their country, and that is why we don't wear our hats inside if it nor walk on the grass. Not to mention the bonfire memorial and vigil we hold every year at the time it collapsed.

People who have visited our campus and actually know some of us understand these things about us. And every Ag who's stepped foot onto campus carries a little bit of that legacy everywhere we go.

So in short, we actually did have a little something to do with it. And I'll just leave it at that.
