other than MSU fans, Leach is pretty much honored throughout the country as a great coach and a great man.

So let’s make this thread about you.

You are insufferable.

Mike Leach was a gift to the world.

You are a scourge.

Steve Hornady can’t be happy you are using his name as your username; he is a good guy.

Mike Leach made the SEC a better conference. Even moreso if he had not passed away and continued to grace us with his coaching and commentary.

And now I'm pissed that he didn't have the opportunity to comment on the jackwagon known as Hornady7 and put him in his place.

What an awesome story about Coach Leach. Mike Leach really was loved by fans all across college football. He was a unique looking guy I always wondered if he might be related to John Madden. I truly hope The Pirate is sailing on crystal clear seas heading for God's golden shore.

I love to see coaches innovate and do things differently. College football is going to miss coach Leach. Legend and one of a kind.

Leach was at Oklahoma for one year.

People still talk about him. He was great with the ordinary guy. So this story sounds a lot like what we heard.

Funny thing was that we also heard, and was proven at Tech in particular... He function all that well with prominent people. He didn't feel like he fit in all that well. He was a "regular guy" kind of guy.

Yeah this season definitely feels weird. I thought Leach was going to be here for another 5-8 years.

They say he was very intelligent. I think he went to law school and did a lot of other things. Not sure but he was well
Educated!

He went to very expensive Pepperdine University law school. Surprised his family when said he didn't want to practice law but wanted to coach football. He was with Hal Mumme at 3 different schools (Iowa Wesleyan) I think was his first stop.

ETA - Oh, and he went United States Sports Academy (whatever that is) after finishing Pepperdine.

He came on the Sports Animal quite often during that year and talked about history, Geronimo, and just made everyone laugh. Great man who will be missed, but he left behind a massive coaching tree as part of his legacy.

He was an awesome guy and a genius. I know he didn’t necessarily create the air raid but he had a part in it and made it famous. He succeeded while Mumme ended up as a HC of Belhaven in Jackson and an OC at Jackson State. I’d put Leach on the same level for the air raid as I would for Bill Walsh and the west coast offense
