The setting and the trip are great but the Rose Bowl itself isn't an ideal viewing stadium unless you're in the South endzone and have a view of the San Gabriel mountains. Went to the 2000 UCLA game and everything about the trip other than the on field result was great.

The absolute best place to watch a football game. The only fans who disagree are the ones who haven't seen their team play there
I've seen Alabama and Auburn play in the Rose Bowl, and I don't agree that it is the best place to watch a football game.
The tailgaiting logistics aren't ideal (or at least aren't for BCSCG). The actual viewing is not that ideal either and I even had decent sideline seats for both games.
The sound system, scoreboard, video screen are all subpar to the best stadiums in the SEC imo.
Now, being in LA/Pasedena, the cool tunnel entrances, and the scenary (both human and environmental) are all incredible and add a lot of the experience.
But for pure watching a game/in-game experience, I don't think it is nearly the best.

Playing at Lambeau Field and the Rose Bowl.

You are right in most places but going to the rose bowl to watch a game, in my biased opinion, is unmatched in college football. Sure it is not the best actual game day experience, but going to a game at the rose bowl is experiencing history

They want to be like Texas A&M so much it's adorable.
we've got a long way to go to abandon defense, acquire a faux military, extinguish our she-cheerleaders and a ton of jars to jizz in. better get to work.

I didn't mean it as the best stadium in the world. It doesn't even have a real concourse. That's why I said it's just the best place to watch a game and not the best stadium. So much history there

Id imagine with the recent announcements of new OOC series/games, they already know whats about to happen with the new schedule
Can't wait for them to just announce the 9 game schedule. I can't wait to get to Athens, Gainesville, and Knoxville.

So you are saying LSU wants to lose to LSU every year?

@Arizona State
@Colorado
as PAC-12 road games.
We've played all those at home as well.
We've also played Oregon, Utah, and Oregon State at home and Oregon in Arlington, TX.

Good deal -- more SEC schools need to do similar home & homes. Good job LSU
