Clowney is the reason Quarles has 7 sacks.

When clowney gets on the line with three other nfl D lineman there will be no more chipping and double teaming.

Expect to see clowney sack qb's relentlessly at the next level.

Devin Taylor was a really good defensive end better than people realized he was. That's the real reason for clowneys drop off in sacks. If we actaully had another edge rusher opposite clowney like we did last yr the guy would be beasting fact is this yr that is not the case as teams are simply double teaming him and running right at him or running in the opposite direction in the past with Taylor on the other side both these things we're impossible to pull off.

As a Panther, I hope he stays far far away from the Falcons and Bucs.

You realize those two teams are the most likely of any to draft him right?

Before the season I wouldn't have thought this would even be a debate but Clowney would look good in ATL.

I just hope he doesn't end up in Oakland. Where pure talent goes to die.

No. I think NFL teams will be counting on their OL to be able to block him 1 on 1. Imagine if the entire Gamecock defensive line was good enough to be in the NFL.. do you think offenses could really afford to put 2-3 guys on him every single play like they do? They couldn't. And NFL teams won't be able to afford to make that sacrifice either.

There are guys who get doubled every play in the NFL so he's gonna see it because if he can consistently be blocked 1 on 1 he ain't as good as he's being made out to be. Don't misunderstand me I think he's a beast and is gonna wreck some nfl o lines but he's gonna draw some extra attn and can hr win those times is all I am gettin at.

Well if he ended up in ATL he sure would get a decent cheer every time the Falcons went up to Charlotte.

Maybe he can get drafted by the Jags and when they move to LA he and Jay-Z can live the high life together since they're already buddies.

My only concern is his makeup.

Clowney needs to be very alert during shower time if drafted by this team.

I guess my only question would be, "And this helps or enhances your program how exactly?"

You don't think having a top 3 pick on your team helps our program?

And Mizzou fans are the ones always bragging about having 1st rounders go recently.
Clowney's 'lack of production' has helped our team by taking on double teams, disrupting plays, messing up the timing, batting balls down, pressuring the QB, making OCs literally game plan for/around him, and he provides experience/knowledge for the younger guys on defense and especially some of the other DEs. The ONE time an OC gets cute and decides not to at least chip him is the time he gets in the backfield, forces a fumble, and hurts the QB. That's why they rarely try to take him on one on one. He will be a great ambassador for our program in the NFL.
