Let's just be honest here. If Fournette had a script A on his helmet, he would have won a Heisman and be at the top of that list for Jrs

Don't know anybody in CFB who has a script A on their helmet, might need to be more specific

That award is about being on the best team as much as it is about being the best player.

Tim Tebow, RG3, Johnny Manziel, etc... Say hello.

People have different ways to determine talent. I like wins and losses. You like recruiting rankings. Different strokes.

You mean if he had played for the Atlanta Braves?

Script A on helmet? Is he playing for Florida?

Bethard put up better passing stats than that alien Dobbs last year.

You scoffing because your team played him 2 years ago in his very first start when he was a sophomore? Beathard actually had a pretty good day considering it was his first start ever.
That'd be like me hating or Brandon Harris for going 3 of 14 against Auburn as a freshman. Brandon Allen was one of the best QBs in CFB last year and as a sophomore completed less than 50% of his passes on the season with a 1.3to1 TDtoINT ratio.

I specifically said he had a big game and his production in that one game was roughly equivalent to his production the entire regular season. And he they put him in the top 5 college seniors.

The dude would be grateful to be considered top five last year at his position and in his conference.

It's an NFL Draft article. Not a College Production article. They even admit the title game shot him up draft boards.

It's all based on potential. He can be great. We'll see what Kiffin does with him. Regardless of his college career, Im sure NFL scouts are drooling. Jimmy Graham type potential

I hear you, but I have been waiting to see this guy be what people claimed he was for years now and all I have seen is 1 game. Not saying he isn't going to be good but it isn't like it is a guy who never got his chance. It is the usual focus on the specs but not on the football player.

If he did that at 98% of other schools he'd immediately be one of the 2-3 biggest heros in the history of the football program.

Alabama lost a lot of NFL talent up front in the draft, and if it gives Fournette some daylight, he's capable of putting up big numbers.

Our defense is gonna wreck LSU's shite as bad, if not worse, than they did last year.

Like most Alabama defensive linemen, he's excellent with his hands and plays with a mega-motor. His sack every 18.2 snaps he played in 2015 bodes well for his 2016 season and subsequent draft stock

If Tim Williams keeps this average while playing on every down, he'll finish with 53 sacks.

So, suffice it to say that average will drop quite a bit - but even half that and he'll challenge Derrick Thomas' sack record.

While his numbers in the NC were big he was largely left uncovered. This dude has been all potential and no payoff, or at least not payoff commensurate with the hype. Are Bama fans buying Howard or is the skepticism still strong?

He's always been a mismatch; when he was younger, he had a hands problem (I think there was a game where he dropped a pass in the end zone that we otherwise lost, but not sure). I think they've gotten better, but we'll know more this season.

Like I said before though, he's got great speed and is a terrible mismatch for a DB in size; he's also a solid run blocker.

4 of the top 6 Bama?

Are you kidding me? That's incredibly impressive.

How much of his average in 2015 was from NOT playing every down though?
