Joe Thomas is a future Hall of Fame left tackle. He’s gone against all the premier pass rushers in the NFL over the last decade, and he’s won the battles against them almost every time. Yet even the venerable Thomas can’t help but get excited about the player he’s now facing every day in Cleveland Browns practice. No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett is making quite a positive impression on Thomas. The perennial All Pro joined Sirius XM NFL Radio after Tuesday’s practice session and heaped praise upon Garrett, “When you talk about physical ability, I don’t think there’s anybody that’s his equal in the NFL.”

Sucks your star player got fricking bulldozed by a 200 pound quarterback to win the game. I would be mad too

You are IRL mad though. It's tangible even via an Internet message board.

Anyways, feel free to post those videos of Garrett's sacks from last night. We're still waiting.

They can't handle the truth. Both guys played on the same field. Myles Garett excelled, Barnett shat the bed.

Case closed and over.

I have no dog in this fight, but if I had to pick, I'd rather have Barnett on my team. He's got grit and isn't soft like Myles Garrett.

What the entire country saw last night is what the entire country already knew.

1. Barnett gets it done in the NFL like he did in college. Last nights production against the Packers validates that.

2. Garrett still can't record a sack against anyone worth a fvck. He's soft though so we knew he wouldn't.

Barnett: 2 sacks, 5 QB Pressures, 3 QB Hits, 5 tackles

Garrett: 1 TFL, 1QB hit, 2 tackles

It sucks to suck, but you already knew that. You were born into a family who roots for a never has been and a never will be. Have fun with that perennial 4th place finish in the West.

Garrett: 1 TFL

Myles Garrett has effective debut

quote:

Garrett made two good tackles against the run, then showed his speed off the ball late in the first quarter of Thursday night's game. In what proved to be his last play of the game, Garrett beat Khalif Barnes on third down and hit Garrett Grayson as he threw. His pressure forced an incompletion and a punt.

Unofficially, Garrett got 15 snaps, finishing with two tackles (one for a loss) and one pressure.

Weird how you can't even be honest and post the ACTUAL stats.

Of course you're still butthurt Garrett drug his nuts all over your team last year.

frick you

Bizarre that the fanbase of the school with the No. 1 pick in the draft is the one with the inferiority complex in this debate.

They don't even mention Garrett running down a RB from the other side of the field.

Don't worry. They doubted Von Miller too and he drug his nuts all over Brady and Cam.

When did Barnett get "trucked/bitched" by Knight?

Surely this is not the play that A&M fans have latched on to as proof that Garrett is better?

Did he actually get trucked by Knight during that defensive disaster of a game last year or is this really the infamous play that you all keep referencing?

He grabs him outside the one and has help from an Aggie player in the way and Knight threw his arse to the ground and into the end zone.

Doesn't look like Barnett comes close to being "trucked".
