I'm just tickled to see Manziel a unanimous #1 QB after all the "he'll get killed in the NFL", "he can't pass for shite", "he just threw it up to Evans" posts all year. I guess we're all friends now that he's gone

Evans vs. Matthews: Honestly I'd take Matthews. But Mike will be up there and do well, I think.

Jake Matthews has a lot of potential and I'm probably hopelessly biased due to watching too many A&M games, but I saw him get beat too many times to think he's first-round worthy. He'll be good, maybe better than Joeckel eventually. But right now he isn't.

Doesn't mean any of us think it's a good pick.

If liking/not liking Manziel is the issue yeah.

Yeah, sorry, if not thinking Manziels game will translate well means you suck, I guess I suck too.

FWIW I'm not completely sold that he's a can't-miss first round pick. I think he'll be great, but he also might be a bust. He's definitely a gamble. He's a gamble I'd take if I were a GM, though.

Texans I think are in a tough spot. If they DON'T take him when they obviously need a QB and he turns out to be pretty damn good for somebody else, there will be hell to pay, given he's immensely popular in Texas.

I just hope JFF doesn't get stuck in Cleveland.

This is my guess as well. I wish RB was also included. I've seen Tre in mock drafts go in the 30-42 range. Will be interesting to see if Hill or Mason go first.

OK aggie, I will bite. Manziel will be the 1st Qb taken and he has been the best Qb in College for the past 3 years but I dont think his short stature and inability to throw accurately cosistently will translate in Pros. Look for Mettsiah to be a better pro. I take LSU's receivers over Evans even though I like his size. Evans will be drafted first of the SEC receivers.

Evans may find a home at TE. Very different type of target than Landry or Beckham Jr.

GM's only get one shot. I wouldn't gamble. I'd wait until I could get a guy like Luck or Bridgewater.

Not if Bridgewater is great for them.

Greg Robinson likely will beat Matthews. I think Matthews is solid but Greg is probably going to outdo him at the combine and his weaknesses are going to be deemed coachable (pass protection). Robinson had an amazing year really

If you can't get this part right, I can't expect you to get the next part right:

Really? 68% in 2012 (1st in SEC), 69.9% in 2013 (surprise! 1st in SEC). Next remark: "Of course he was accurate! He just threw it up and let Evans catch it!" Did I get that about right?

People are just harping on Manziel's last few games when the wheels were coming off (thumb injury, blown expectations, etc.) when they say he's not accurate. Guy is stupid accurate.

And a lot of the 'play extending' credit that Bridgewater gets is stuff that Johnny does on a regular basis and against better teams.

JFF will be a career QB and far better than TB, who is merely the best pro style system QB to come across this year.
