Are there really 5 power conferences?

Looking at that chart, I see:

2 conferences with over 40 drafted
4 conferences with over 30 drafted

The Big 12 only had one more player drafted than the Mountain West and only 5 more than the AAC.

Looks to me like there are four power conferences and 3 mid-majors.

Is there any credence to the statement that Saban's players are too beat up by the time the reach the NFL?

I don't think so. Bama players aren't any more beat up than players on other SEC teams. Conference is brutal

Ha... I think there's a little value in pointing out how few Pro Bowlers have come out of Bama in the Saban era. I dunno... It's likely ridiculous but the thought of players being overworked at the college level is ringing in my head.

@JamesCrepea: Texans don't disclose terms of rookie contracts but it'll be a standard four-year deal for Prosch likely at NFL minimum ($420K/yr) + bonus.

@JamesCrepea: Per @corryjoel of @FootballPost the median sixth round pick contract should be 4 years for $2,263,968 with a $103,968 signing bonus.

That's pretty good for a 6th round pick

He will only play out a year or 2 of that contract before they offer him a long term one...he was a big time steal that low
