Arkansas got Petrino, who was a substantially better coach than Nutt. Obviously it didn't work out in the end, for reasons not related to coaching ability. But, Arkansas got what they wanted.

No doubt. I agree. Petrino went back to LOU. Could be come back to ARK? Reason I brought up Nutt is, he wasn't bad at ARK, just shite the bed at OM

It would never happen. Even if Houston Nutt was the only man left on Earth. Petrino probably has a better shot of getting hired back, and thats literally 0%

He shite the bed at Arkansas, they were just more patient with him. Nutts time at Ole Miss reminds me of Dinardos time at LSU. That being said, Nutt has definitely run his course as a head coach.

As long as Mullen has a winning record and beats Ole Miss most of the time, he is safe.

There were serious rumblings to fire Mullen last year before the 2 miracle wins against Ark and OM.

Freeze does suck as a coach but ole miss is way too underachieving of a program to can him right now. I don't think anyone will get fired this season. Unless Florida has a meltdown and then it's muschamp. I'll give you credit for trying though. Freeze is a joke. I could see malzahn having a similar tenure to chizik honestly. Doubt it'll lead to a 3-9 season but I could see them falling off if that offense he runs fizzles out. Or when he has to go to a pocket passer instead of dual threat. Johnson and white aren't runners.

You don't know shite about Malzahn

He's coached more players than just Marshall and Cam, ie the Chris Todd transformation or when he was at Tulsa.

I rest my case.

I don't think Freeze, Butch, or Richt are on the hot seat. At all.

And Muschamp might have a little heat on him, but don't think he's in danger of getting canned. They had shitty luck last year with the injuries and all that. And he went out and got his OC and QB coach in Roper.

I would say Mullen if Miss St has a bad year. They actually have somewhat high expectations for this season. But again, it's Miss St. As long as they have a winning record they will be happy with Mullen as their coach.

Probably BB... But his buyout is so ridiculous that Arky will just have to wait til his contract runs out.

Derek Mason?? Tough to try and fill the shoes of James Franklin... What he did at Vandy was extremely impressive and they got a taste of being a solid team and a winning team at that. I could see them firing him if they suck this year and go out and get their guy.

The real question is when does Petrino get back in the SEC?

Barring an off the field scandal, no SEC coach gets fired this year.

Boom, Mullen or Bert.

Florida has to show some marked improvement. They are at the cusp of a Vol like abyss.

Mullen has the most toys for State in a long while Expectations are high in Stark Vegas. He's safe barring a fall flat on your face season.

Bert has Arky uncomfortable, but it's early yet. He gets a pass this year but if it's a bad year, he's firmly on the hot seat for next year.

sumlin will be fired in two years. I've been saying this. it may be three. they have high expectations and have not yet even finished in the top four of the sec.

Recruitingjunkie... Please explain how Freeze is the first to go.

I would like to hear some predictions on Ole Miss' season(s) and how you expect this to pan out. Then later, I plan on bumping this thread.

I suggest everyone bookmark this clown's endless threads for future public humiliation.
