You're not gonna believe what I'm about to say, but I'm gonna anyhow. I hope the young fella turns things around and grows up. I hope he has a successful career and is able to be a positive force for people around him in his life and is able to contribute and make a difference to the people that will look up to him if he's successful on the field. Having said that, at this point in time, he's shown nothing but arrogance and a propensity for being deceitful. Until he changes that, I don't care for what he represents and I get tired of the people that try to present him as anything but what he is at this point in time.

Didn't he just do all of that in his time at Auburn?

Umm no. The one single person I have the utmost respect for that just completed his time at Auburn is Kodi Burns. While he caught alot of flack from Bama fans, myself included, that kid showed heart and integrity throughout his career. He is the type of player that should be talked about when you're holding one up as an example. Not Cam.

Check. He went to JC and got his act together.

But...but...$180,000...

I hope he has a successful career

Check. He just won the Heisman and the National Championship, and he is about to get a fat contract. Even if he does nothing the rest of his life, he will have been more successful than 98% of the nation.

and is able to be a positive force for people around him in his life

Check. He earned the respect of his teammates and coaches. Good enough for me.

I said nothing about him being paid. He has however lied and contradicted himself in the past year about events from the past.

Your definition of success would mean that a lottery winner is successful in life. When you mature and grow up, you'll realize that making money doesn't make you successful, it's what you contribute as a person in life that makes you a success. J Russell and Ryan Leaf also signed big contracts, do you find them to be successful?

Children holding up signs saying he's the man is making a difference in their lives? Seems to me they're doing more for him than vice versa. Egotistical.

Also says criticism from interviews could be smokescreen for other teams. Sounds plausible to me.

What if this source is just a smokescreen for a team trying to get Cam drafted high so a better player falls to them?

Did you even read the article?

quote:

A high-ranking NFL source countered what NFLDraftScout.com and others had reported earlier in the week that Auburn QB Cam Newton, the 11th ranked prospect by CBSSports.com, "struggled" in team interviews conducted at the Combine.

Those are the four kids that Cam was a DIRECT mentor for this year at a local elementary school. Not just kids "holding up [a] sign".

Cam Newton and his fellow AU alum really dont care what you think of him or what you have to say about him. According to you, he is just another black player that wont graduate because AU ran him off...like Nick Fairley, Darvin Adams, and Eric Smith.

The problem with this statement hunter is the first sentence. With your continued hate of everything that is Auburn and Auburn related, not one single person believes you.

You dont wish well on anything this is Auburn related. You just like the gas to fuel your hate. Nothing else matters
