FWIW, I know several Panthers fans ( from NC and they are not college football fans) that do not like Cam Newton. Can't wait til he's gone. Personally I don't agree with them. But I'm just passing it along to back up the OP.

Jameis Winston is getting through this draft on specs and measurables alone. His "intangibles" helped him against the most God awful teams the Power 5 could put out. The only legit claim to his QB stock is the come back against AU in the NC. The one game he actually plays against a team that doesn't need Lucky Luck 100% luck, he and his team get slaughtered in every sense of the word.
He's a great player no doubt. But he does not deserve the #1 pick. I would say what I really think of one of my former classmates, but I would end up perma banned from this website and put on Nancy Grace.

Quarterbacks are in a no-win situation.. We want them to be confident but also "say the right things" and criticize them either way an equal amount it seems. This is from a guy who laid face down in the floor for 30 minutes in dark silence after he crushed my soul on the date that need not be named
