So I take it this one is just a model/example someone made? It might actually look pretty good or at least ok with the right uni, especially since you'd never see it up close during a game. It just wouldn't look like TAMU and I'm of the mindset that if you have a brand it's a big mistake not to use it.

The various athletic companies want to change things for teams but they're marketing gear for fans. THAT is why they trot out so many alts. They want to sell fans new gear constantly. But you don't see Nike changing it's swoosh or Adidas and UA changing their logos and the reason is simple: those logos work and are universally recognized.

At any rate, this helmet has a collector's vibe to it, imo. And now that I think about it, it wouldn't be a bad idea to sell it to fans as such.
