The coon-arse nation is giving the barn a run for little brother syndrome - y'all ain't BAMA and never will be - get over it - being CFB royalty has its privileges - your 2-loss BCS gift title notwithstanding.

not winning the conference (much less the division) says what?
not getting 100 total yards on offense in a national title game in your home state in which you crossed the fifty once and were the only BCS title game participant in history to be shut out says what?
To answer the OP question, why should being given the benefit of the doubt lessen anything? Those that know football and aren't emotionally vested in it understand that Bama is one of the top teams in the country.
Baylor plays like the 100+ toughest schedule. That's on them to schedule better.
MSU won on a play only rivaled by the Kick Six in its rarity or they'd have a loss. The committee knows that and took it into account for it.
TCU plays a weak schedule. They, like Baylor, are being begged by the committee to play a tougher schedule to get the benefit of the doubt.
If LSU does what you desperately hope they can do for the first time since 2011 and manages to beat Bama, then you very likely will not have to worry about Bama's ranking for the rest of the season. If LSU isn't able to beat Bama then you'll likely see the Tide ranked in the top 2-3 for the rest of the season. Sorry not sorry.

You srs Clark?
The feeling of knowing that your team has been so successful, with the perennial #1 recruiting class and the consensus best coach, that the perception of your team is so great that you're given the benefit of the doubt in every possible situation? That you always win the "eye test" factor AND the icing on the cake being that it gets under the skin of every rival, and also LSU?
It's a unique thrill. It's a level of meta-success that your team should aspire to.

Good lord, LSU fans are a pitiful bunch.
I mean, you're probably going to win on Saturday, and yet you're melting on a Tuesday. It boggles the fricking mind.

I would much rather earn it than take a handout...Guess Bama is really an "OBama" kind of team....

It's wild how much completely pointless week 8 rankings have riled people up tonight

Wow this is embarrasing.... Lets just watch a great game. Outcomes of games dont determine my destiny.
