I won't say they're garbage, but I do still think they're in the mix with about another team or 2 for a last place SEC West finish. And I don't think the SEC West is even all that stout this year. What yesterday's game says about LSU is that we're capable of being a great team or the same team from last year, and it almost entirely depends on the offensive playcalling.

And what's bad is that even with the delay of game, for most SEC kickers, it was a very doable field goal attempt. It was sheer luck that State trotted out a guy that can't hit that.

The game is over, in the bag, and a win.
But I'll still ask how does a team get awarded a first down when their receiver is tackled a yard shy of the first down marker? It seemed to happen late in the game, near midfield.

I don't like complaining about the officiating, but it was very poor last night, and unquestionably called in favor of State

According to the SECRant last week, LSU was gonna get killed because of the week 1 game cancelation.
No week 2 bounce for LSU. Going to Starkville. Remember what Dak did last year.
Now the SECRant says LSU was living on the "Luck of the Les" and escaped by beating a good team.
I think if LSU had played a week 1 game they wouldn't have had those two TDs called back.
