The Texas game is a great measuring stick. When Texas made its run, Hogs never responded. Muss said that was typical at the time. Said they weren't competitive even in practice.
Today, Creighton made a late first half run exactly like Texas, but Hogs answered.
Texas game was with Nick Smith, too, btw. He quit in that one like most of them did. Hopefully he's got the message as well.

Tell me you know nothing about college basketball without telling me you know nothing about college basketball.
Arkansas basketball has 30+ conference titles all time. If those seasons didn’t end in an Elite 8 then they were a failure.
But you be happy with your little trophy if that’s what makes you happy.

I believe that poster was responding to a somebody saying the pigs were overlords and that we were all fricked. However Texas in 2022 doesn’t seem at all that fricked.
And for a fanbase that is ever so quick to discount the football overall series and label it as “irrelevant”, you sure didn’t take long to up the overall basketball series, which is just as irrelevant to 2022 as the football record is.
