Nebraska fans get exactly what they deserved. Reminder:

“ Pelini left the NU football program with a 67–27 record, winning at least 9 games in every season.”

They fired a 9 win minimum guy and look where it got them.

Mullen or Patterson would take it.

Come to beautiful Lincoln, Nebraska. Just a few short hours from better states!

Dan Mullen will go over in Lincoln like a fart in church.

I’d say they should take Jimbo, but Nebraska has higher expectations for a passing offense.

Posted this in the Frost fired thread.

Still applicable.

Bo Pelini after he gets the phone call from Lincoln:

Was about to post the same. Mullen is kind of down the list from Patterson IMO but those are two good gets for Nebraska. I kinda hate to see them being such trash. Lane would be a dream hire but no way he takes it. Patterson is the front runner I believe. I personally would like to officially submit BOB for the position and need to know where to submit information in

Them firing Frank Solich for going 58-18 in 2002 is the worst mistake in cfb history

I just turned down the Nebraska job

But in all seriousness, the Huskers boards are filled with delusional opinions on who they CAN get. The fans seem to think Nebraska is the only program with tons of money. Nobody who is anybody to know and likes their job wants the collosal task of making Nebraska not garbage again. Delete the program.

Their AD wanted to "modernize" the offense.

Indeed.

Any coach that can win 58 games in one season is a keeper.

People keep bringing up Pelini, but the big whiff was firing Solich.

He was also a 9 win maximum guy. Didn’t Ole Miss do a very similar thing with David Cutcliffe back in the day? Same to UGA with Richt.

I don’t have a problem with a program saying going around .500 against power conference opponents is unacceptable.

You might want to see Year 1 A.E. (After Eli) for Cutt.

I suspect they'll make a hard run at Stoops. And Stoops would do well there. But, and my God and I can't believe I'm saying this, I don't think at this point Nebraska has anything that Kentucky doesn't have. And if you look at recruiting ... Stoops has more talent, closer, where he is now.

Good grief, I would not have said that ten years ago. That's how much the football culture has changed here.

The best part is how much Nebraska fans showed their arse when they hired Frost.

They were the next dynasty.

I think Mark Stoops and Sam Pittman are both on the list and hope both say no, especially Stoops. I like Stoops and respect what he’s done and think Nebraska would ruin him.
