So why doesn't the D get set faster? Our D didn't have a problem with it.

If you have a problem with HUNH, just outlaw it. HUNH is fine apparently when it is needed to win games in the last few minutes, however all other times it is barbaric and hazardous to player health!
I agree. What's next? Will the ncaa adopt rules from the UpWard leagues?

What does this have to do with their ability to substitute?

I've thought saban was a ego maniac, pompous, jackass but I always respected his ability to compete and coach football.
Turns out he's just a whiny little bitch to boot.

Haven't read the 44 pages. Is it safe to assume that there is near unanimous consent that flagging a team for snapping the ball too fast after it's been placed is just idiotic? I seriously cannot think of one legitimate reason that the offense can't snap the ball the second the ball is put into play by the refs.
To me it is no different than saying we will no longer allow fast breaks in basketball. Fast breaks just aren't fair to the defense. You have to give them time to set up. From now on, on turnovers or change of possession, you must slow down and set up your offense so that the defense can catch their breath and set up. If you shoot the ball with 20 seconds or more left on the shot clock, the offense will be called for a bench foul and the defense will be awarded 2 free throws.

This is what Auburn gets for trolling everyone a couple of weeks ago about supposedly claiming more titles.

I think the only reasonable thing to do is to never change
another rule. They should have never legalized the forward pass.
But seriously, the not snapping the ball until 10 seconds have ran is not the issue. The issue is whether or not the defense should be given a chance to sub.
But this horseshite about not changing rules is retarded. How many times have the rules been changed in just the last decade, much less the last 80 years?

quote:There is absolutely no rule that says the defense can't sub before the snap against a hunh. The reason they don't is because the hurry up tries to take that away with the quick pace. Just like there is no rule against a defender making a tackle, but the running back tries to run faster to avoid that. Maybe we should make running faster and jukes illegal too

I guess you need this explained. When I said chance, that implied without the offense trying to snap it before they get a chance to sub. What are you? fricking stupid?
And I'm not arguing for or against this proposed rule either way.

Thanks for confirming.
So no rules changes should ever be made is what you are saying? Likr when they legalized the forward pass or when they ended the penalty for an incomplete pass?
