The cowbell would be worse except the soccer fans blow those vuvuzelas constantly the entire game, regardless of the play on the field. State fans at least hold ringing cowbells when they are supposed to and will ring them in unison during certain cheers and songs.

This. I sat in a Mississippi power box a couple years ago and the noise got trapped in the premium seats and it was deafening. I can't believe people forking out a ton of money for a skybox put up with that annoying noise.
