That leaves Mississippi as the last state that can't host predetermined postseason tournaments because of the flag.

This only applied to predetermined tournaments like men's basketball and conference tournaments.

With the Colonial Life Arena, we may be able to land a basketball hosting site.

Thank you. This ban was actually put in place in 2000 so would it be more appropriate to say welcome to the 20th century?

I would hate to go to a bowl in Mississippi, even if it was possible

ETA: or tournaments, whatever

well since the confederacy fell apart in the 1800s, shouldnt we be welcoming them to the 19th century?

I hope the NCAA will give us a basketball 2nd and 3rd round sooner rather than later just as a pat on the back.

Where do you think the NCAA would pick for a host site?

Columbia and Colonial Life Arena.

People keep saying that Charleston and Greenville would be good sites but they don't have a facility like CLA. It was built to host tourney games

USC's Colonial Life Arena is perfect for tourney games and has lots of amenities around it. Seats 18,000..

College of Charleston has a new arena but it's not big enough.

Would SCAR and Frank be willing to risk giving up home court advantage in the NIT to host NCAA tourney games?
