NCAA cries for help after loss to Tennessee in court. Expect no mercy

Squeeze them till they squeal, then squeeze some more!

Munch popcorn while they twist in the wind.

Georgia doesn't really care.

As a fan of college football, I'm not a fan of "pay to play" being made acceptable. But UGA just wants everyone to play by the same rules. We haven't been paying recruits to come to UGA because we were following the NCAA rules (unlike Tennessee). Now that we know it's okay to pay recruits to come to UGA, we'll start doing so.

I only expect our recruiting to improve because of it.

I still think paying recruits to come to a university is bad for the sport.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) swatted down Baker’s latest cry for help.

“Until the NCAA gets it act together, any ‘get out of jail free cards’ for them are dead on arrival in Congress,” Blackburn said in a statement to the AP.

No help for the NCAA to the Right, and none to the Left, either.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) suggested the NCAA ought to pursue collective bargaining with athletes rather than a golden ticket from Congress.

“(The NCAA should) start negotiating directly with the athletes to come up with an entirely new model that gives them the pay and protections they have long deserved,” Murphy said in a statement to the AP. “Until the NCAA takes these basic steps, simply coming to Congress to bail them out is not a reasonable approach.”

This is a very bipartisan screw you to the NCAA.

Let's see if Charlie Baker and UGA's Jere 'The Bitch' Morehead are smart enough to listen.

This is a new and relevant story about the NCAA response.

We understand that this does not affect you or your team.

1. Nobody worth a damn wants to go to UK.
2. Y'all don't have the money to pay them if they did want to go to UK.

UGA hasn't signed a recruiting class ranked outside the Top 3 since 2017. Somehow that transformation magically occurred after Saban's #1 student arrived. Haven't been paying players my arse.

Lsu fans remember what it was like to have a elite coach with a tireless work ethic, and they miss it.

It affects all of us, but there are multiple threads about this general topic - several by the same OP.
