And a look at what the schools have done with their talent.

A couple of things i find surprising...

#2 and #3 schools had great win and loss records in overall and
SEC, yet #3 canned their coach and #2 almost did.

The other thing is #4 and #12 SEC record.

Only 7 teams, including the 2 newcomers, have a winning record in conference play.

You're telling me in a 14 team conference, half the teams have and winning record and the other half have a losing record?

Auburn is getting a piss-poor return on their talent level.

Bottom tier...

Congrats to Texas A&M & Missouri for coming in and overtaking some of the long-time SEC teams.

I would like to see the last 4 years instead of 5. Throw away Nutts last year and only see Hugh's 4

Could not agree more and I have been saying it for years. We get plenty of talent. We just dont do shite with it. Even our own fanbase sees that.

I get tired of hearing our fans talk about how we dont have talent. bla bla bla. We have plenty.

I want to direct everyone's attention to Vandy's conference record during that 5 year span. After that, look at Tennessee's.

That is all.

WOW Thank you for this!

I was just speaking about this without any research in this thread about why we are so excited

LSU has as much talent as anyone in the country and finally for once they return experience on both sides of the ball. Talent is the name of the game, which is why Miles is stepping up recruiting more than ever with these recent hires.. get the best players is an advantage in itself..

but most important, especially for LSU under Miles is experience.

and LSU returns 18 Starters, evenly

9 starters on offense return
9 starters on defense return

for once in quite some time.. LSU should have a good offense and good defense.

So glad the stud seniors return.

LSU is also finally addressing needs.. unlike lazy arse Chavis. Chavis leaving was one of the best blessings in disguise. Chavis and his boy Brick had LSU last in the SEC in sacks his last season.. Orgeron in his first season brought LSU to 3rd in the SEC in sacks.. and that was with a thin line and one less game played than everyone else.

So, looking at conference records, Auburn & Tennessee are the prolific underachievers, and Mizzou/Pinkel does quite well given their talent.

Of course you would. There's a very clear delineation between when y'all weren't cheating and when you started.

Ole Miss suddenly recruited much better as soon as Freeze was hired.
