Since head coach Nate Oats arrived at Alabama in 2019-20, the Crimson Tide has won a league-best 58 SEC contests.

Alabama has scored 100 points in nine SEC games during Oats' tenure. The rest of the league has a combined 10 100-point games during that span.

The Crimson Tide owns the No. 1 scoring offense in the country (90.3 ppg) and the No. 1-ranked offense, according to KenPom

All of this with a rebuilt roster an a brand new coaching staff. The man can coach! Give him a big extension and let the Tide keep rolling!!!!

He's been awesome. Just another example of the league finally taking basketball seriously and committing to putting a quality product on the court.

As an aside, it's also refreshing to see a coach with a little edge to him. I think a lot of us older fricks really appreciate that. The sports world is too soft. We need a little more "hate" in the conference in all sports. It makes the games way more enjoyable. It makes the conversations between fanbases more fun.

I agree. This has been a fun ride for this old guy. The SEC has really upgraded coaches the last 5 years.

What is your opinion of McMahon? They seem to be better this year and that was a huge win over USCe.

Looks like we'll be printing another SEC Championship shirt before long.

Don’t forget his stellar 6-5 record in tNCAAT

(That record is dangerously close to Matt McMahon’s NCAAT record fwiw lmaoOo)

If we had Bediako we probably beat everyone other than Purdue @UT, & @ Auburn. And in line for another 1 seed

We're maybe around the same age. SEC had a bunch of coaches with edge back in the 80s. Fun time for SEC basketball. Glad to seemingly getting back there.

How fun would it have been to have Oats and Will Wade going at it for years?

So long as he doesn't choke a player (or worse), I think his edge is a good thing.

Bobby Knight had a legendary temper, but was a great coach. If he hadn't gone off the rails he might have won over 1000 games.

Oats has a chance to improve his record in a few weeks. Can we say the same for MM?

Would have been a blast. Those two are unfiltered and clearly don't like each other.
