Better question:

Name another SEC coach that could build the roster Bama has.
Les & Steve

Both are big name coaches with a solid reputation - they'd do very well at Bama IMO.

I'd also like to see what Jones or Malzhan could build at Bama.

Which is it? If a bama fan starts a thread proclaiming that Alabama has the best players, they're quickly told that that lsu has equal talent. If an Alabama fan suggests les would lose a few games with Alabama's roster (like he typically does at lsu) then that isn't true either? I'm thoroughly confused.

I'm not sure either could although I think Les is a great recruiter. Spurrier kinda has a rap for not being willing to do whatever it takes (persistence or whatever the issue might be) to land some of the elite kids 50 schools will be recruiting

Why hasn't Les won 3 titles in 5 years then?

Which current coach would mess up that wet dream?

Les Miles; he has enough talent to contend for titles perennially and hang with any team in the country, but he's only obtained 2 SEC titles and 1 national title. 2007 was an anomaly across the college football landscape, so his one great season is 2011, and he didn't even have his team prepared for the national championship.

I think with some winning records Butch can.

Every single SEC coach could contend for National Championships with that roster. How many would have won 3 out of the last 5 years with those rosters? Maybe Spurrier but that's probably it.

The real answer here is the only one who could handle the talent is spurrier.

I say Les Miles... unless you can win a national championship with two losses still.

Miles won a title with sabans players though so he obviously could do it.

Stop flaming thanks.

Impossible to answer.
All these players want to play for Bama and Bama wouldn't hire any of the other SEC coaches.

How many rematches are we allowed with said roster? Do we also get 24/7 ESPN dick riding and rivals bumps with said coach?

Let it flow.

To you and the poster above you, what makes you think he would establish a dynasty with Alabama's recent talent when he couldn't at Florida in a much weaker SEC?

Muschamp. Richt would win but not contend for titles.

His 2007 team won their division, their conference AND the NC. Can Bama's 2011 team say that? Given that they can't, I'd say that was the bigger anomaly. 21 - 0 doesn't change that.
