2007 Arkansas- until it ended up being OK
2010 Auburn- so close yet so incredibly inept
2012 Bama- it all came together until it came apart
2013 Olé Miss - wtf mett first half, wtf defense 2nd half

21-0- I was home in Alexandria, left watch party mid 4th quarter, and walked around the park in the pouring rain. Felt like a dear pet had died.

ETA: ranked in no specific order.

In order of painfullness:

1. Fsu
2. 2005 Lsu
3. 2007 Lsu
4. 2008 Lsu
5. 1997 Seccg loss to Tenn

2009 Bama or 2012 Lsu or 2008 South Florida or 2005 Georgie Tech. All of these were pretty equal. Not terribly painful but definitely disappointing.

That goes back to basically the beginning of the tubberville era for me.

1. BCS Championship Game vs. FSU
2. 2005 loss to LSU - John Vaughn missing 5 field goals
3. 2007 loss to LSU - Les Miles bad clock management ends with a last second touchdown
4. 2003 23-0 loss to USC - high preseason expectations end with a first game beat down. Tubs promoting his buddy to OC was a HUGH mistake.

Is it bad I attended all of those personally

2010 AU - meant nothing to the season, but they Camback was painful nonetheless

Bama would have been in sugar bowl if they won that one.

My group at 2012 Bama sat in the stands and watched the stadium empty, still in shock.

One of the ushers had to make us leave

People think of Mizzou as a little league school but it is crazy to think that you guys were only a few plays away from making a national title game in those two recent seasons.

That's not true. Auburn still would've won the SEC and been in the Sugar. One of the other BCS bowls would've taken either 10-2 Alabama, 10-2 Arkansas, or 10-2 LSU.

No particular order.

Clumping these as 1.

2013 @UT and 2011 AU: Both games we should've won. If we had won them we'd be the SEC-E champs 3 / 4 years.

2012 @UF: UF had a good record that year but that game was not expected to be a blowout. We had TO after TO. I think at one point UF had 21 pts and 26 yds of offense.

2008 @CU / Outback Bowl vs Iowa: Didn't show up in either game. Team just didn't want to play. Dabo killed us in his only win vs us so far. Spurrier has admitted that he contemplated retirement after this year.

2009 UF: Not expected to win that game but we were only down by 3 entering the 4th. We had the ball and we were driving it. The atmosphere between the 3rd and 4th QTs was electric. 1st play of the 4th we throw an INT that is returned deep in our territory. Still had a whole QT to go and only down by 3 but I knew that game was over. I was personally hugely deflated.

Italicize indicates game that I went to so there was a personal feeling of "I drove all the way for this shite? All the way for a game that our team didn't even show up for?"

2011 LSU 9-6. Worst game ever. Ended with a good result for the season but watching the whole city of Tuscaloosa turn into a madhouse before the game and being basically inaccessible downtown was awesome. Then the parade of sad Bama fans coming out of the stadium was painful. No one even said anything.

1. 1998 SECCG 24-14 loss to UT- we were up 14-10 with 7 minutes left. So close to the BCS, yet so far away.
2. 2012 Gator Bowl 34-20 loss to NW- Just sad. Their first bowl win since 1949.
3. 1997 15-14 Egg Bowl loss to OM- They scored on their first drive and last drive. Went for two and won. Game was marred by a pregame fight. We murdered them in between the first and last drives, but you know how it goes.
4. 2000 17-10 OT loss to Arky- we were 7-2. They were 4-5. A win sealed a trip to the SECCG. It sleeted, rained, and snowed in Starkville. I was so cold I ate Nachos with jalapeno peppers at HT with nothing to drink just to warm up. We went up early 10-0, sleepwalked through the 2nd half, let them tie it, missed an easy FG for the win as time expired, and finally lost it in OT.
5. 2004 9-7 loss to Maine- Croom's 3rd game. It was Maine. Enough said.
