More like an 18-17 MSU upset. 35 points is unlikely

Last year Alabama keyed up on Dak the entire game. That was when the wide receivers were much better as well.
This year Dak is better.
This year, they have deeper and BETTER receivers.
This year, the one thing the OL excels at.. Pass protection.

2 - but Ole Miss didn't go 5 wide very much. They had a back in quite frequently. They split Engram out a lot, though.
You can't beat Alabama being totally 1 dimensional. You have to at least present the other option as a possibility. If you just line up in 5 wide every play we are going to eat your lunch.
State is going to run a ton of run-pass option stuff out of 4 wide and 3 WR/1 TE sets.
Isn't Dak a mobile, dual threat QB? He can buy time with his legs. Ratcheting up tempo seems to take a lot of "want to" out of a defenses pass rush no matter who they are. I haven't watched any State games this year so I don't know what kind of personnel they really have. They've given up 13 sacks through 9 games. That's pretty decent.

We have faced and beat him twice already.

Bet they don't! Bet they throw it 40+ times!

He's mobile, but he isn't Nick Marshall or Jonny Manziel fast.

It can also put you in a deep hole if you don't do it well.

I do too, but they won't be doing all of it out of 5-WR sets. I can pretty much guarantee you that. Mullen is way too smart to do that.
Trust me, I'd love for Mullen to stick Dak back there and run 45 drop back passes from the shotgun. Would take all of the other options and window dressing away for our DB's and LB's and let them focus on one thing. Would be perfect.

If Texas AM and LSU's defense can stop Dak, you better believe Alabama's can too.

Next is the fact that the OL has given dak a lot of time this season
So had LSU's line. How'd that go?
I love when a p[oster tries to compare 2 offenses that are 100% different and expect the same results.

Ole miss would not have won if bama had not self destructed.
I know tRant and some in the media love this narrative, but they didn't self-destruct. We made them self-destruct. Now, Ole Miss's last two losses on the other hand, those were self-destructions. Downvote for being an idiot.

Have those guys sat out the year to this point?
No, but they have not focused on just the run.

A&M, Tennessee, etc
Anytime Tennessee went 5-wide and dropped Dobbs back he got assassinated. So, notice what they did? They ran wide, they rolled Dobbs, they kept a tight end in, they kept a back in, they threw short stuff all around.
That is what Mullen will do, he will just do it more because they can't run as well as Tennessee and their QB is better.

So they gave up 200 yards rushing to Missouri because they were focusing on their NCAA worst passing attack? Or they were just playing possum?

Agree on the interceptions.
The special teams fumbles were just sloppy pathetic self destruction. It isn't an excuse but it's definitely self destruction. Doesn't really matter, though.

I'll agree on that. I think because we've fallen off the face of the Earth and Bama has gotten exponentially better each week, the only explainable narrative for those that didn't watch it closely was an implosion by Bama and all luck from us.

Yea, that definitely was not the case. That team that beat us was a really good team. Offense didn't make mistakes, defense had all their guys and played fast and created plays.
I mean, yea a bunch of screwy stuff happened, but we also made a bunch of stupid mistakes, a number of which were forced by Ole Miss.
