We'll only be ranked for two weeks after beating UT-Martin and Fresno State before Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Florida trounce us in succession.

Alabama is bama = ok

LSU just lost their DC. Steele isn't proven, can't throw, teams will line up and stop the run = too high

Arky = lost a lot of key d-linemen, we'll see. Finished strong = maybe

Auburn = lost some, upgraded big time on D. Could finish anywhere 1-3

Ole Miss - good/great D. O stil sucks, no QB = about right

Miss state = yup

A&M = Will be better on O and D, easier schedule = #lsuobsessedfanhopingaggiefails

I expect auburn to be improved, but is there reason to expect the addition of Boom will turn that defense into a contender over the summer? I would expect a solid improvement, but still defensive lapses while Muschamp installs his defense and he and Gus learn to fuse their schemes together.

Muschamp will have the defense improved it would be hard to not improve that AU D. But Will had some defensive lapses while at FLA with equal talent.

Looks pretty good, may swap Ark and Au. Really think it will be a Bama, LSU battle with Au as a wild card depending on defense. I expect lsu's defense to be very good and if Bama's young but extremely talented DBs perform then Bama will have the best D in conference over lsu's.

I think every West team will be pretty good with top 25 capability.

Are you forgetting about the #1 scoring defense in the nation in 2014 that returns 7/11 starters?

I agree - could probably flip-flop AU/Arky and throw aTm in the bottom 3 somewhere.

Outside of tSECr, there won't be a single pre-season ranking/sportswriter that/who has Texas A&M last.
Or second-to-last.
Or likely even 5th.

What the hell do people see in auburn next year? They should be good but what makes them best in the West? Is Muschamp the missing piece to make them unbeatable?
