the only good thing about dreamland is the loaf of white bread you get to soak the sauce up with.

Dreamland is the bomb. I eat there at every home game and a couple more times a year. I ordered two slabs, a lb of pulled pork, and two lbs of sausage last week. Will be here tomorrow or the next day.
OP, hit up Ramma Jamma's for breakfast on gameday. And get you some Big Bad Wolf's BBQ nachos on the strip.
This guy is on point.
Dreamland - the ORIGINAL
Ramma Jamma's
Big Bad Wolf's - good for a drunken snack
Also..
Quick Grill - burger and messy fries at 3 am is
Chuck's is great - and Nick's in the Sticks
You should have fun at most any bar since it'll be such a big weekend so it really just depends on the type of bar that you want to go to - every bar will be packed out. The Houndstooth is where Big Bad Wolf's will be though.
Bear Bryant Museum is a great recommendation since you have never been!
And the quad - tailgating is a MUST prior to the game. Plan to park/walk a long way from the quad or get there REALLY early.
Oh..I almost forgot - you should definitely check out that large object near the quad - it's called Bryant Denny Stadium - pretty clutch

Nick's in the Sticks...
it's out in the boonies, and you have to go through the ghetto to get there... but damn it's amazing.
be sure to order a Nicodemus (spelling?) drink.

I grew up in the BBQ capital of the nation , Memphis, TN. We prefer our ribs with a dry rub. Well most there do. To each his/her own though.
I don't see celebrities stack the halls of dreamland like they do rendezvous. Fwiw to get a job at rendezvous you have to either have been born into the family there or wait 20 years for your application to catch up to date.
Name another BBQ place like that

I ate at the Dreamland in Birmingham a few years ago and was blown away. Best ribs I ever ate.
Stopped at the one in Mobile for lunch one day and they were not good.
Which Bama city has the best Dreamland?

Definitely Dreamland off Old Jug Factory Road - you kind of have to go through the ghetto to get to it - but it's COMPLETELY worth it.
Same goes for Nick's in the Sticks - this is out in the boonies too - and yes, you do have to go through the ghetto to get there but it's also completely worth it - Nickodemus would be great right about now
I can't imagine any Dreamland chain even coming close in comparison. I work close to the one in Roswell, GA - not bad, but definitely nothing to write home about.

Lots of BBQ mentioned but I always go to Archibalds. It is one of my favorite BBQ places in the country.

I agree with that statement 100%. I was born/raised and still live in Tuscaloosa. Dreamland is definitely over-rated. The atmosphere and all at the original on Jug Factory road would be the only reason to go there.

Archibalds
Archibalds beats Dreamland hands down in my opinion.
There is also Bama Smokehouse down highway 69 in the Hillcrest/Taylorville area. Their ribs are great. Good tasting sauce and meat falls right off the bone. You don't have to tear it off and work for it.
