So with the rumors coming out today that he and his whole staff are staying and they are just going to add an O.C., my pissed off level has risen.

1. He said Mario Fannin didn't play because he cannot pass block. Later he said he will be good by Iron Bowl. He has been there 2 1/2 fricking years, what makes him think he will all of sudden pick it up in two weeks of practice?

2. He blasted Chris Slaughter in the media after the Ole Miss game saying Rod Smith would have scored and is faster. Well Slaughter had 131 yards. Well I didn't see him on the field Saturday either but I did see them throw 5 fades to Rod Smith and he caught zero of them. I didn't even see him get any separation.

These are the things that piss me off along with are 2010 commit BJ Chitty decommitting already and is now favoring Bama. If we don't fire him now, we will fire him next year after another 6-6 season and average recruiting class so we might as well go ahead and start the process now.

Oh, and our recruits aren't gonna go anywhere when we fire Tubs because they only have offers from sunbelt schools and would still like the SEC over a Sunbelt school.

I don't watch much Auburn football, but I thought that Mario Fannin was really good. Sounds like Tubs is just making excuses, IMO.

As an Auburn fan I've not been happy this season but who do you expect to come in and save the day? You do bitch and whine like most Bama fans(excluding Bammers this year). Are you at practice everyday? I would think not, so just because you think something doesn't make it right. (another Bammer trait) All teams have a down or rebuilding season. The coaches are there to win, if that doesn't happen then changes will be made but not after one bad season. There will be shake up on the staff but don't expect Tubby to go anywhere. He will turn it around.

All average teams have down year and good years, aka, Auburn, Wisconsin, Texas A&M, Iowa, Oregon State. That is the Company Auburn is in with.

I don't see Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, LSU, USC, Florida, etc. not being bowl eligible 4 years after going undefeated. If anything we should be reaping the benefits of a recruiting class after an undefeated year right now. But we are the only team to go undefeated and have an average recruiting class.

Every team in the country has down years. LSU is not that great this year and seeing how they just won the national title, its safe to say they are in a down year.

Florida went 8-4 last year and wasn't even in the contention for the SEC East at the end of the season, and that was after they won the national title, so I'd say that was a down year.

Granted, this year is far worse than those years for those teams, but they all bounced back, and Auburn will as well.

Recruiting isn't that much of an issue this year. Last I checked we were in the top 5 in the country in recruiting rankings so far. I really do believe Tuberville feels the heat and will pull out a good season next year.

Ross, you just said Florida had a down year last year at 8-4. LSU is having a down year with 3 losses. They do not have the down year with 7 losses and not being bowl eligible. We are not on the same level as them. Also, our recruiting will end up between 20-30 ranked whenever everybody elses classes fill up. We were only ranked high because of the number of recruits we had not the quality.

Outside of this year, we have definitely been on Florida and LSU's level. This year, we have hit a major slump, but I say give Tuberville one more year before you cast him off completely.

For example, most Auburn fans wanted him fired after the 2003 season, only for him to turn around and go undefeated in 2004. I'm not saying that is going to happen this time, I'm just saying you need to be a little more tolerant of him.

We have a good quality of players committed right now...

But is the any reason to believe that next year is any better? We still have to play WVU and so on. Who is gonna play better to make up for 7 losses?

And if we do have a bad season next year, he is gone for sure. We would be delaying the rebuilding process a year.

I don't think Auburn can do much better than what Tuberville has done since he has been there. It is harder to recruit the area he is in than some other SEC schools(ex-LSU). If they fire Tuberville move the program to the back of the line in the West. I still think they are atleast the third best program in the west. They always have a good defense. They have sent people to the NFL from almost every position since he has been there. They have a very young team right now. Rivals has them with the current 10th best recruiting class next year. The previous three year rankings were 20, 7, 10. Who could they hire that would be better? He can actually coach along the side of Richt, Meyer, Miles, Spurrier, and Saban.

4 times 1st or tied for 1st in west
3 times 2nd or tied for 2nd in west
6 times has finished at least tied for 4th in SEC final standings
5-3 bowl record
Coached the only undefeated team in SEC this decade(IMO best SEC team this decade)
7-2 in Iron Bowl; current 6 game streak(second longest steak in series and longest streak for Auburn)

For AuburnCPA:
IMO Tubs is a good coach. Watched him split victories routinely with King Gump while at LSU. He has not forgotten how to coach. If he is fired King Gump will have full control of the state. Auburn would probably become an afterthought. Bad experiment with OC this year. He will correct it. I hope you guys beat the gumps.

And next year's schedule is brutal. We have to go to LSU, Arkansas, UGA, UT, and still have to play WVU. We are looking at 8-4 as a good season next year. We could just as well be 5-7 again next year and then what are the Tubs supporters going to say. Are we just going to keep playing musical coordinators? He is a product of the way he recruits. If you recruit lackluster you play lackluster.
