One play away from losing to Akron. Half of the SEC would absolutely murder Michigan, including my #40 Ags.

I agree, but as of now, this is their current position with the data we have. Unfortunately for Michigan I think their weak schedule will catch up with them, as well as imminent losses @Northwestern and vs. tOSU.

I'll be interested to see how things shake out after week 8.

I assume you have to use preseason ranks as a starting place week 1?

Yeah. The only "opinion-based" contribution came from setting up the pods initially. For the first three or four pods, I used the preseason AP top 25 (and the receiving votes). Once I ran out of preseason poll data, I used each team's finishing RPI's from 2012, and threw the two new teams for 2013 into Pod IX.
